Filter Library Spectra

This page provides access to transmission spectra for optical filters we have in the lab (25 mm diameter). Spectra are organized into three categories based on the type of filter: BP (Bandpass, LLBP = Laser Line Bandpass), SP (Shortpass), and LP (Longpass). Spectra were acquired on a Cary 300 UV-Vis spectrophotometer and files are named using a lineshape analysis program that locates regions above 50% transmission and creates the file name by concatenating the center and FWHM of each region to the filter index number of the optic in the library.
For example, the file name F20_450-80_BP indicates that filter #20 has a transmission peak centered at 450 nm with a FWHM of 80 nm in the BP (Bandpass) category. The spectra are provided as CSV files with two columns: wavelength (nm) and transmission (%). Example name: F20_450-80_BP, indicates filter #20 with a transmission peak center wavelength of 450 nm and FWHM of 80 nm in the BP (Bandpass) category. Thanks to lab alumni Avtar Singh, Logan Holt and Joelle Ohr for help measuring these spectra over the years.
To view a spectrum, select a file from the dropdown menu for the desired category and click "Plot". You can plot multiple spectra on the same graph by selecting and plotting files from different categories.
