Imaging granule pH with Fluorescein |

|
Fluorescein in the extracellular medium (green) diffuses into the granule during an exocytotic event (at the same time that the granule contents are expulsed). Once it is in the granule, its fluorescence oscillates due to stimulation-induced pH cycling in the granule. The cellular membranes are shown in blue. The total movie duration is 20 min. |
